There are three main intake periods in Canada. The Winter Intake begins in January or February, the Fall Intake starts in August or September, and the Summer Intake usually takes place in April or May. Annual tuition fees for international students generally range from CAD 15,000 to CAD 30,000, depending on the program and university. Living expenses, including housing, food, and transportation, typically fall between CAD 10,000 and CAD 15,000 per year.

Staying in Canada After Graduation

International students in Canada can apply for up to three years of post-study work rights after completing their education. This gives graduates the chance to gain valuable work experience and pursue career opportunities in a variety of industries.  

  • Canada’s Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) allows students to stay and work in Canada for up to three years after they graduate.
  • You may be eligible for the permit if you graduated from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) and want to work temporarily in Canada.
  • Having relevant work experience is essential to being successful in your PR application.
  • Make sure your passport is valid for the entire length of time you should be eligible.
